Using Visual Strategies
to Support Inclusion

Short course

Visual strategies can be a powerful tool in helping young children to develop positively in early childhood environments. They can help with communication, play, social skills and behaviour. They open up choices and enhance an understanding of the predictable aspects of a child's routine.

You will learn about:

  • A range of simple visual supports

  • Ways to implement visuals in your settings and how to use them effectively

  • Where to get the resources to make the visuals you need

Bring along examples of any visuals that you are using or any that you have but aren't sure how to use. Be prepared to share any favourite techniques!
