How It Works

What you will do:

  1. Decide what training you would like.
Talk to the people on your team and choose the workshop(s) that best suit your needs .
Some workshops need a full day, others can be presented over shorter time periods.
Read about our courses to help you decide.

  2. Estimate how many people might attend.
Sometimes this is easy to predict (for example, if it is the staff of a school or preschool) and sometimes it is harder to know (for example, if it is for a conference or regional interest group). Your best estimate is helpful to us in the planning process.

  3. Think about the logistics of your training.
It will be important to have a venue in mind. This will depend on how many people you are expecting and what is available in your local area. We have provided training in schools, preschools, child care centres, council premises, local clubs, hotels and dedicated conference venues. Whilst we are happy to work as flexibly as possible, we will also be able advise you about the suitability of a proposed venue for your numbers and choice of workshop(s).

  4. Leave enough time for planning.
We understand that for various reasons training is sometimes planned at the last minute. However, being prepared in advance allows you time to advertise the training, collect registrations (if applicable) and plan your venue. We also experience heavy bookings at different times of the year and weekends are always popular, so sending your enquiry well in advance is advisable.

  5. Let us know if you are applying for a grant for your training.
This will assist us to provide a more detailed quote for your submission.

  6. Send us your enquiry.
We would love to hear from you! Please include as many details as you can so that we are able to respond to your enquiry as accurately and quickly as possible. We have made it as easy as we can with our dedicated online form. Don't forget to include your best contact details.

What we will do:

  1. We will respond to your enquiry in a timely manner.
There may be times when we are travelling or away from the office. However, we will generally respond to your enquiry within 3 working days.

  2. We will provide you with an approximate quote for your training.
Our quote will include the cost for our presenter(s) to deliver the workshop(s), as well as applicable travel costs and travel time. Until an actual date is confirmed, we are not able to quote exactly as travel costs may vary. However,  we will always give you the best indication that we can of actual costs. Remember that our quote will not include any venue or catering costs - these are the responsibility of the training organisers.

  3. We will assist you when you have confirmed a date for training.
Although all the arrangements for the training day will happen locally with you, we can help by providing print-ready advertising material and answering your specific questions when they arise.

  4. We will provide you with quality training.
At Sloan and Kemp Consultants, we take pride in our reputation for innovative, relevant and accessible training.
